Jacqueline Herrera, PsyD
Dr. Herrera is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with children (ages 6+), adolescents, and adults. She is passionate about creating a supportive environment where patients can better understand and overcome the challenges they face. She specializes in psychological assessments, using them to uncover the underlying causes of symptoms such as anxiety, depression, inattention, impulsivity, and trauma. With over twelve years of experience, she has helped countless individuals and families gain clarity and develop effective treatment plans.
Dr. Herrera understands that people do not exist in a vacuum. Family dynamics, culture, and the systems around us all shape our experiences. This understanding of intersectional identity allows her to support patients in navigating cultural concerns, processing the effects of racism, and integrating their spirituality into treatment when appropriate.
She provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adults related to concerns such as ADHD, autism, cognitive functioning, personality, and neurocognitive health, as well as specialized evaluations required by medical professionals and agencies. Known for her compassionate, curious, and warm approach, Dr. Herrera creates a space where patients feel supported as they gain insight and move toward their goals.
Dr. Herrera sees patients in person for psychological evaluations in the Alamo Heights area of San Antonio, Texas, and offers telehealth services on a case-by-case basis. She is licensed through PSYPACT, allowing her to provide telepsychology services in 38 states.
As a bilingual psychologist, Dr. Herrera provides psychological assessments in both English and Spanish.
“It is my greatest joy to see the positive impact that assessments and therapy can have in my patients’ lives. I am honored that I get to witness the strength and courage of my patients firsthand.
